This naturally bright & colorful specimen is a large fragment of a full ammolite fossil. Stabilizing and polishing these specimens is typical from this source. This piece is very bright and is double sided showing colors of red, blue, yellow, and green. One cool thing about this piece is that one side has mainly greens and oranges, while the other is green and deep bluish purples. This piece would have come from the outer perimeter of the ammolites shell. I acquired this piece in September of 2022 during my trip to the ammolite mines in Canada. An outstanding specimen from the locality.
