Rough Welo Ethiopian hydrophane opal mineral specimen with a beautiful play of color. Not only that, but this piece is very fine cutting/carving material that should have a good yield. We recommend that this opal material NOT be submerged in water (unless it is being cut, water will keep it cool), and it should never have any oils applied to it. Also, due to the hydrophane nature of this opal, the weight can vary slightly with humidity. We consider this to be a Thumbnail (TN) sized specimen.
