Welo Ethiopian hydrophane opal mineral specimen with with a beautiful honeycomb pattern and an amazing play of color. This piece has an orange base color with beautiful flashes of reds, yellows, and greens. Not only that, but this piece is very fine cutting material that will have a good yield. We recommend that this opal material NOT be submerged in water (unless it is being cut, water will keep it cool), and it should never have any oils applied to it. Also, due to the hydrophane nature of this opal, the weight can vary slightly with humidity. We consider this to be a Thumbnail (TN) sized specimen.
