Ethiopian opal specimen from featuring a broad face with bright, well-distributed play-of-color. Strong flashes of green and red move across the surface, giving it a lively, shifting look under light.
This piece is best suited as a display specimen rather than cutting material due to the opal being so shallow, but its wide face has excellent visual impact.
We recommend that this opal material NOT be submerged in water (unless it is being cut, water will keep it cool), and it should never have any oils applied to it. Also, due to the hydrophane nature of this opal, the weight can vary slightly with humidity.
