Dark Base Ethiopian Opal Rough – 2.94g

Dark base Ethiopian opal rough from featuring intense, high-contrast play-of-color with vivid flashes of red, green, blue, violet, and orange. The darker body tone enhances the brightness of the color, creating a bold, almost electric look as it moves in the light.

This piece is largely solid opal with minimal host rock, making it especially desirable for cutting or as a standout specimen. The color patterning is broad and dynamic, offering strong visual appeal from multiple angles.

We recommend that this opal material NOT be submerged in water (unless it is being cut, water will keep it cool), and it should never have any oils applied to it. Also, due to the hydrophane nature of this opal, the weight can vary slightly with humidity.
